Predicting mechanical failure.
Ending unplanned stops.
We are a dedicated collective of industry veterans, data scientists, and engineers
architecting the predictive future of the North American railroad
Imagine a world where every railcar bearing reports its internal health months before an overheating event stops a train.
This isn't science fiction.
It's the promise of predictive maintenance powered by RealSense. Our miniaturized sensors enable railroads to schedule targeted repairs that prevent unscheduled stops, catastrophic derailments, and the massive disruptions they cause.
We are building it today.
At RealSense, we're not just envisioning this future. We are leveraging proven vibration analysis techniques to fundamentally transform rail efficiency in a way that inherently improves safety across the network.
Shaping the Future
There is an Internet of Things revolution that's been going on for years in every other industry but rail. This revolution will eventually get embraced by railroads, and in many cases they're on the cusp.
Five years from now cars won't be allowed on the main line unless they have monitoring. As bearing monitoring becomes more mature (which won't take long) it's going to monitor bearings, track issues, and very likely wheel cracks.
The next big goal RRs will pursue is reducing unplanned stops. They're eventually going to realize 30,000 stops per year from HBD detections, as well as derailments from bad bearings, cracked wheels, and bad tracks can all be avoided with one system.
